We all have regrets in our lives, things we wish we didn't say or didn't do.

I have been wanting to do this piece for a long time. This is a bit of a personal piece for myself with a long story, I wont get into it but it was important for me to get this out. I also finally was able to draw an anthro maned wolf, I have always found them to be beautiful but never really found an anthro version of one I truely was attarched to. I also used this as an experiment to see how to lay fur over muscle while keeping the fur fluffy but the muscles visable.

I'm sorry everyone for leaving this out, I forgot and didn't mean to. The image that imspired my own, and was used as referance was [link]
Please please please, visit this photographer and see just why I was inspired and in love with their work and this photograph.

A gorgeous piece with instantly recognizable emotion in the posture and lighting, Regret is exactly that; a beautiful manifestation of the word. Don't forget to check out the rest of *Tattered-Artemisia's lovely gallery! (Suggested by `GH-MoNGo and Featured by $y2jenn)

You've really made something admirable here. The technical aspects of this, such as lighting, composition, and form are played out beautifully here, but that has little to do with what makes this a real work of art in my opinion. You've captures something that every man and woman can relate to. It's a message to remind us that despite our sincerest efforts at times... we are only ever really human... and to be human is to make errors... Regret is something only a human can experience.

The one thing that I might add to this message however. Even though there are things that may always haunt our minds, we could never be who we are today... if it wasn't for our pasts to reflect upon.

Regret is the absence of forgiveness.

Thank you, you hit the nail on the head as to why this piece was so important to me. No one out there does not have something they regret. We all have something that haunts us, something we did we wish we hadn't or something we wish we had.

I wish from the bottom of my heart you were wrong when you say "Regret is the absence of forgiveness." But you are very right, even if the other person and the world does forgive you, the hardest person to forgive is yourself.
